For the last couple of years, security has been of prime concern for security. Since most manufacturers are primarily running ERP, they are of the opinion that they have access controls in place to counter internal threats. To combat external security threats, some have employed point solutions while others have gone in for Unified Threat Management appliances.  Anti-virus solutions are also in use at most of these companies. 88% are using PC-based firewalls and 68% anti-spam.
